celebrate the great distance we've come toward building a neighborhood we can all enjoy.

FREE SUMMER CONCERTS IN FERNHILL PARK
Mark your calendars for the annual summer concert series in Fernhill Park, located at NE Ainsworth and 37th, a popular part of Portland Parks & Recreation Free for All programming. Because of support from community businesses and neighborhood associations (including the Cully Association of Neighbors), audiences enjoy the music FREE, gathering weekly around the stage near the tennis courts to dance and relax with family and friends. Bring your own picnic or purchase dinner from vendor-sponsors. All concerts are from 6:30 pm 8:30 pm and are family friendly. Dogs on leashes are also welcome.

Speakers are City Commissioner Dan Saltzman, Karen Munday, Backyard habitat Certification program and Mark Wells, Crime Prevention Specialist for Cully. There are NO CAN meetings in July or August. Sign up on the CAN web site www.cullyneighbors.org to receive e-mailed updates.
June 12th, Saturday, Cully Litter Patrol 9:30 am - noon.
Meet at Cully Albertsons at 60th and Prescott. Volunteer to help to clean up Cully streets. Contact Shawn 503-284-5083 for details and to confirm dates one week prior.
June 19th, Saturday Explorando el Columbia Slough 1-5 pm.
Afternoon of festivities celebrating the nature and history of the Columbia Slough. Tailored to the Hispanic community, events in English and Spanish include guided canoe trips, live entertainment, games and more at Whitaker Ponds located at 7040 NE 47th. Free.
July 10th, Saturday. Cully Collective Market.
Every Saturday from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm, beginning July 10th - September 18th, the Trinity Lutheran Church & School parking lot at 5520 NE Killingsworth will be transformed into a family friendly neighborhood community gathering space.
Ways to get involved:
Regular Vendors - Selling fruits, vegetables, and prepared foods
Partnership Tables - Local businesses, non-profits, and organizations
Event Space - Available to music, dance, drama, or cultural performances
Community Tables - Where anyone is welcome to bring things to sell or trade with your neighborsgarden produce, arts and crafts, clothing, household items (no prepared foods, large appliances, gas-powered items, weapons or livestock)
Visit the Market - Buy produce and food, enjoy music and community performances, meet your neighbors!

July 25th, Sunday Columbia Slough Small Craft Regatta 9 am-1 pm.
Largest one day paddle in Oregon, 16650 NE Airport Way. Bring your own watercraft or make a reservation for a free canoe or kayak rental. Donation requested. Enjoy hands on activities and live music. August 3rd, Tuesday National Night Out.
This event focuses on crime prevention and community building. Promote neighborhood organizing as a strategy to fight crime and improve public safety and livability. Hold a neighborhood block party and get to know your neighbors.
