April General Meeting:

Join the Cully Association of Neighbors Board.

There are nine board member positions, seven of which are now open for election this spring. Four executive positions and three member-at-large positions. The positions on the CAN executive board are one-year term, from April 2017 to April 2018. Open Executive Board Positions are:

• Chair: Presides over board meetings, develops agenda and signs official CAN documents.

• Vice Chair: Takes over role of chair when chair is unavailable.

• Secretary: Keeps accurate records of board meetings, board roles and membership

• Treasurer: Keeps and reports on CAN’s financial records.

Additionally, there are three other board positions on the board, board member-at-large, which can have a focus on specific issues, such as Land Use and Transportation, Economic Development, Outreach or other topics, depending on the board member’s interests. Whomever runs for these can change the focus but the open board member-at-large are now:

Schools

Land Use & Transportation

Two other board members will serve their second year of their two-year terms starting in April. They hold member-at-large positions.Typically the past board chair also holds a seat on theboard for one year and he will be stepping down this year.

Anyone living in, working in or owning a business within the Cully neighborhood is automatically a member of CAN.
