Lieutenant Colonial Paul “Opus” Shamy, Oregon Air National Guard (ORANG), will join us to discuss expansion of the use of a special landing procedure at Portland International Airport during a six month trial period beginning May 1st, 2017 through October 31st, 2017.

 

In late 2016 ORANG proposed adding flexibility in using the landing procedure including: expansion of hours the procedure can be flown, utilization of both the east and west ends of  PDX runways to allow up to four aircraft to participate simultaneously, rather than just two, and allowing visiting military aircraft to use the procedure when training with ORANG.

 

Phil Stenstrom and Jerry Gerspach of the Port of Portland Noise Management Office will provide updates on current noise management activities at the PDX and related to the ORANG CDOA test period.

Coronel Teniente Paul “Opus” Shamy, Guarda Aerea Nacional de Oregon (ORANG), estará con nosotros para discutir la expansión del uso de un procedimiento especial de aterrizaje en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Portland durante un periodo de prueba de seis meses, que comienza 1 de mayo 2017 hasta el final de octubre del 2017.

 

A finales del 2016, la Guardia Nacional propuso añadir flexibilidad en el uso del procedimiento a incluir: la expansión de las horas en las que este procedimiento puede pasar, la utilización de lados este y oeste de la pista de aterrizaje para permitir hasta cuatro aviones participar simultáneamente, en vez de dos solamente, y permitir a aviones militares visitantes usar este procedimiento cuando están en entrenamiento con ORANG.

 

Phil Stenstrom y Jerry Gerspach de la Oficina del Manejo de Ruido del Port of Portland proveerán reportes de actividades para el manejo de ruido en el aeropuerto y relacionadas con este periodo de prueba de ORANG CDOA.
