Scott Community Earth Day Celebration- Sat 4/17 from 1-4pm
Scott Elementary's annual Community Earth Day is a free, family-friendly event full of free resources to help you live and garden more sustainably!
This year's event will include:
Seed and plant swap: Share your extra seeds and plants if you have them, but no need to bring anything to participate.
Kids clothing swap: Ages 5-12, clean and good condition clothing, shoes and sports gear
Visits with baby goats and chickens
Zoo Doo Compost: bring a bucket and take home Zoo compost for your home garden
Vermicomposting learning corner and DIY Worm bin station: Bring a container and transform it into a worm composting bin for your home! Explore worms, and learn from a Deep Rootz Vermicomposting expert all about the humble worm and all that it does for the planet and soil.
Honey tasting and Bee exploration station with Growing Gardens
Test your home soil samples for Lead with Multnomah County Health Department
Make your own Green Cleaning products with Growing Gardens
Learn-to-Ride area with the Community Cycling Center: Bikes and helmets available to borrow or bring your own!
Mutual Aid table: learn how to give and receive community support and increase meaningful local connections. Pick up one of our Mutual Aid resource booklets full of local resources and a handy map of little free libraries and food pantries.
