Report Neighborhood Issues

There are numerous resources available so Portlanders can feel empowered to report issues such as abandoned cars or nuisance smells. 

  • 311: Your first call to help with any questions or local government service needs within Multnomah County. Call to discuss the issue - the dispatcher will help or transfer you to the appropriate department.

  • PDX Reporter: This site allows you can post explicit details and images of the issues related to:

    • Abandoned Autos & Illegal Parking

    • Potholes, Roadway Debris, Stormwater Obstruction, Sidewalk Trip Hazards & Park Maintenance

    • Graffiti 

  • RID Patrol through Metro: Illegal dumping and trash piles

    • NOTE: If trash is in the bike lane or blocking pedestrian/road traffic, call 311 for immediate support

  • Code Enforcement: Report illegal businesses like chop shops, etc. or illegal Airbnb’s

  • Smell Complaints through DEQ: This is for smell/air quality complaints only

    • To complain about air quality issues related to industrial pollution click NO to the first 6 questions

    • Fill out the rest of the form

    • Images may help if you see visible plumes of smoke

    • Addresses of the location are key to support future DEQ Inspection

  • Confirm Before You Burn: Multnomah County Environmental Health burn alerts. There may be days when the air quality is forecast to be poor, so residents cannot use wood stoves or fireplaces, or burn outdoors.
