Cully Public Works Project Ongoing Construction

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) has started construction on the long-awaited Cully Public Works project. Cully Public Works will pave gravel streets, add stormwater drainage improvements, and add sidewalks on selected blocks between NE 62nd and NE 73rd Aves and Sumner St and Prescott St.

Construction will require temporary street closures and detours from summer 2026 to summer 2028.

PBOT bundled Cully Public Works with the 70s Greenway Project: Cully Connector, which adds improved pedestrian and bike facilities on NE 72nd Ave from NE Lombard St to NE Sandy Blvd. Construction for the greenway on NE 72nd is currently scheduled for Jan-June 2028.
