Mini-Grant Program

The Cully Association of Neighbors (CAN) is excited to announce the fourth year of its successful Mini-Grant Program, supporting projects with grant requests from $50 to $500. CAN has budgeted $2000 with funds generously supplemented by the Cully Boulevard Alliance, totaling $3000 to be awarded to local neighborhood improvement and enhancements.

Mini-Grant Applications are available in both English and Spanish, and may be submitted in either language. The grant is available to Cully residents for projects specific to the Cully Neighborhood.

Projects could  include  works of art, public performance, temporary or permanent structures or community events, or anything that will meet CAN's objective of  enhancing the livability of Cully. The past 3 years have shown amazing ideas and community-building events including bicycle safety at Sunday Parkways; Dia de los Ninos festivals; public community herb garden; reading project at Rigler Elementary; street paintings; neighborhood information kiosk; community kitchen; and more!  The program has been a huge success!

A volunteer committee will again judge and choose recipient projects emphasizing equity, accessibility and value to the community. Applications are currently available and can be found on the CAN  website  (www.cullyneighbors.org/minig rant.asp),  in  CAN  newsletter boxes throughout the neighborhood, at CAN meetings and at the CNN office. The deadline for application submissions is January 30th, 2017, at 5pm, and winners will be announced at the CAN meeting on February 14th, 2017.  If you have any questions, please contact Xan Hamilton at susiesomeone@gmail.com or 503-5937894.
